This mentality I literally can not stand because it results in girls getting married for all the wrong reasons. It causes a person to not enjoy their youth because they are in a hurry to grow up. It teaches girls to associate freedom with the commitment to a man. It results in girls growing up to always be dependent on someone else, because they won’t get the opportunity to explore the world unless there’s a man by their side. And eventually it results in a marriage where the man holds all the power as he is the more experienced, secure and independent person of the marriage. - wrappedinamystery
